Linglong Tire has been named the leading global supplier of original equipment (OE) tyres for New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in 2024, according to consultancy firm Frost & Sullivan. The same report also places Linglong as the top seller of passenger car tyres in the Chinese market last year.
These results underline Linglong’s growing role in the EV transition and domestic dominance in one of the world’s largest automotive markets.
Frost & Sullivan’s analysis shows that Linglong supplied over nine million OE tyres for NEVs in 2024, making it the global leader in this category.
The company delivered fitments to key Chinese automakers including:
▪ Hongqi
▪ BYD
▪ Geely
▪ Dongfeng Nissan
These tyres are engineered to meet the demands of electric drivetrains, with features such as:
▪ Low rolling resistance
▪ Reduced rolling noise
▪ High grip performance
The designs are tailored for battery electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) platforms, supporting the efficiency and driving dynamics of next-generation vehicles.
Alongside its global EV position, Linglong also led in total passenger car tyre sales in China for 2024.
This growth was largely driven by the Sport Master line, a product range positioned across multiple vehicle segments. The company’s “dual-engine” strategy—focused on both product development and distribution scale—helped Linglong capture wider market share.
Additional support came from:
▪ A refined national distribution network
▪ Retail partnerships, including with JD Car Maintenance
These factors combined to strengthen Linglong’s presence across both tier-one cities and regional markets.
With nearly 9 million OE NEV tyre deliveries, the brand is helping set new benchmarks for EV-fitment volumes. As EV adoption expands in Europe and beyond, Linglong’s OE success at home may translate into more international partnerships and competition in the premium EV tyre space.
