Linglong Tire has appointed Jeff Hughes as Regional Director Specialty Tires for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), effective from 1 June 2025. The newly created role aims to reinforce the company's presence in the off-highway and industrial tyre segments across the region.
As part of his remit, Hughes will be responsible for setting the strategy and overseeing sales activities across Linglong’s Specialty Tire division in EMEA. This includes working closely with product and marketing teams to build Linglong’s reputation as a serious player in the specialty segment.
Specialty tyres typically include products for agriculture, construction, mining, and industrial use – a growing area of focus as Linglong looks to diversify beyond its passenger and commercial offerings.
Hughes brings extensive experience to the post, having previously led the European Specialty Tires replacement business at Maxam Tires (part of the Sailun Group). He also spent over two decades in senior leadership roles at Goodyear, where he gained global exposure in strategic sales and product development.
Commenting on his appointment, Hughes said:
“Our most important task will be to optimise existing customer contacts and develop new ones to further strengthen our market position.”
Hughes’ appointment signals Linglong’s intent to scale its specialty tyre operations in EMEA by leveraging established regional relationships and focusing on customer-led growth. The new director will work to align regional initiatives with global product strategies and respond to sector-specific demand.
He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in public administration and management studies, is married, and has two children.
