NEXEN TIRE Selected as OE Partner for Kia EV4 Launch

Kia’s first electric sedan, the EV4, will roll off production lines fitted with NEXEN TIRE’s premium all-season N’FERA Supreme S tyres, marking a key milestone in the tyre manufacturer’s growing electric vehicle (EV) portfolio.

The EV4 fitment builds on NEXEN TIRE’s existing partnerships across Kia’s EV series—including the EV3, EV6 and EV9—further reinforcing its presence as a leading supplier in the fast-evolving EV tyre segment.

High-Performance Tyre Fitment for EV Demands

Designed to support the unique characteristics of electric vehicles, the N’FERA Supreme S aims to balance high torque support, braking stability and noise reduction—key performance metrics for OEMs developing electric sedans.

According to the company, the tyre incorporates a 4D compound and optimised load distribution technology to maintain grip at high speeds and under long-distance conditions. Additional features include a tread retention design for consistent performance even after significant wear, and an aerodynamic sidewall that enhances energy efficiency by reducing drag.

Strategic Alignment with Kia’s EV Roadmap

This latest OE agreement underscores NEXEN TIRE’s efforts to align with vehicle manufacturers prioritising electrification. By supplying OE tyres across the EV3, EV4, EV6 and EV9, the South Korean brand now has a foothold in one of the broadest domestic EV model ranges among local tyre makers.

The company says it is targeting further growth through global partnerships and aims to supply more EV-specific tyres to premium international OEMs.

Enhanced grip, lower rolling resistance, and long-lasting tread design are becoming critical differentiators. With more vehicle platforms transitioning to all-electric, tyre brands that optimise for EV performance and secure OE deals early, will be well positioned to shape the future of mobility.
