Prinx Chengshan: Thai factory back online under trial period.

Tyre News Media recently reported the regulator-ordered suspension at Prinx Chengshan’s Chon Buri facility pending a compliance review. The company now says the Prinx Chengshan Thailand plant has resumed operations, with shipments on schedule. An HKEX filing confirms the IEAT lifted the halt for a 28-day trial production window from 8 August to 4 September 2025 to test air-quality sampling equipment.

Restart Approved from 8 August

Prinx Chengshan says the Thailand manufacturing base is running and meeting orders, with inventory covering the short pause. The IEAT approval grants 28 days of trial production, after which regulators will determine next steps.

“We are pleased to confirm that our Thailand facility is back to full operation,” said Thomas Wohlgemuth, Managing Director Europe. “Our priority is to continue delivering high-quality tyres to our customers without interruption, while upholding the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility.”

What Prompted the Suspension

According to the company, the late-July pause related to technical compliance around the plant’s expansion and raw-material handling, including carbon black packaging and procedural approval for a new line. The firm states there were no product defects or environmental harm and that remedial measures were agreed with Thai authorities.

Supply and Customer Impact

The company indicates deliveries remain on track and that logistics adjustments and stock absorbed the downtime. Buyers should note the IEAT’s 28-day trial period ends on 4 September 2025; any change to status would follow regulatory review.

Quality and Environmental Controls

Prinx Chengshan rejects claims of illegal or unsafe practices. It says “buffing” observed at the site is a standard method to identify off-spec or test tyres so they cannot be sold, with such units repurposed or scrapped via approved channels.
