Four shareholders associated with Sailun’s controlling shareholder, Yuan Zhongxue, have agreed to donate 37.86 million shares to support Qingdao University of Science and Technology’s rubber education ambitions.
The agreement, signed on 30 September 2026, will transfer shares representing 1.15% of Sailun’s share capital to the university’s Education Development Foundation.
The donors are Yuming Investment, Ruiyuan Dingshi, Yang Dehua and Yuan Song, who act in concert with Yuan. This is a donation of shareholders’ holdings rather than a cash contribution by Sailun.

Following transfer, dividends and other income from the shares, together with proceeds from subsequent sales after applicable taxes and fees, will support university infrastructure, academic development and talent training.
Sailun’s announcement links the donation to Yuan’s ambition to help the university develop a world-class rubber college. It also outlines aspirations for teaching materials, laboratories and international academic exchanges supporting rubber industry research and skills development.
The foundation has committed to retaining the donated shares for at least six months after transfer. Following completion, the combined holding controlled by Yuan and his concert parties will fall from 26.30% to 25.15%.
Sailun said the donation would not change control of the company or affect its governance or ongoing operations.
