Vipal Rubber has been recognised in two major categories at the 2025 Recircle Awards, an international event highlighting sustainability in the tyre manufacturing, recycling, and retreading industries. The awards were announced on 22 May during Autopromotec in Bologna, Italy.
The company received the Employee of the Year award for Leonardo Oliveira, Regional Sales Manager in the United States, and the Tyre Industry Education Award for Univipal, its corporate university. These categories acknowledge both individual leadership and long-term investment in workforce development—critical components in advancing sustainable retreading practices.
Vipal was also shortlisted in two other categories: Best Supplier of Rubber for Treads and Best Supplier of Equipment for Tyre Retreading, reinforcing its influence across the retreading supply chain.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that Vipal Rubber has been acknowledged at the Recircle Awards. In 2023, which coincided with the company’s 50th anniversary, it received three awards including Best Supplier of Precured Treads and Employee of the Year for its European Commercial Manager.
The Recircle Awards aim to celebrate companies and individuals contributing to a more circular economy in the tyre sector. Public voting closed in March following broad international participation.
Headquartered in Brazil, Vipal Rubber operates in over 90 countries and has built a reputation for providing solutions across all stages of tyre retreading. Its consistent recognition at the Recircle Awards underscores a business strategy focused on education, environmental responsibility, and global collaboration.
The 2025 awards underline a growing trend: recognition of education and people as pillars of sustainable progress. As the tyre industry evolves, initiatives like Univipal are becoming key tools in addressing knowledge gaps, upskilling the workforce, and driving global best practices in circularity. With pressure mounting for environmentally responsible practices, companies investing in internal expertise are better positioned to lead the sector.
