Saurav Mukherjee joins Dunlop to build worldwide operations.

Dunlop Tyres has hired seasoned sales strategist Saurav Mukherjee as Senior Vice-President – Global Sales & Operations, signalling a renewed push to grow market share in high-growth regions and sharpen the brand’s global structure.

Appointment highlights

Role and remit

Mukherjee will oversee worldwide sales, supply-chain execution and regional go-to-market programmes. Dunlop says his mandate is to “add scale and sustained sales momentum” while preserving the brand’s quality reputation.

Track record

  • CEAT (2019-2024) – SVP Global Sales & Supply Chain, credited with building a unified export strategy and doubling OE accounts.
  • Earlier leadership roles in telecoms and consumer goods have given him experience in cross-border logistics and channel optimisation.

Strategic context

Dunlop’s global reset

Parent company Sumitomo Rubber Industries plans to position Dunlop as its “core brand” worldwide following its acquisition of regional trademarks from Goodyear earlier this year.  Mukherjee’s arrival aligns with that premium-focus strategy, bringing fresh leadership as trademark integration accelerates.

India: a priority growth market

India produced 190 million tyres in 2024, and volumes are forecast to climb to 361 million units by 2034 – a 6.6 % CAGR. Dunlop says Mukherjee will help the brand capture this demand through expanded distribution and OE supply deals.

What’s next

Expect an updated channel strategy in Q4-2025, backed by new regional leadership appointments and a sharper split between OE, replacement and speciality tyre teams. Dunlop also plans selective capacity investments in Asia-Pacific plants to support Indian-market supply.
