Merityre Southfields in Wandsworth has been accredited as a Bridgestone e-CENTRE, recognising the depot’s progress on sustainability, staff wellbeing and customer experience. The assessment—developed with Ernst & Young—benchmarks tyre retailers against ESG and service criteria. The Merton Road site introduced energy, waste and workforce initiatives to meet the standard, joining a growing UK network of e-CENTRE locations.
Bridgestone’s e-CENTRE framework is designed to raise operating standards across tyre retail through measurable ESG performance and better customer journeys. In the UK pilot, the company has committed significant funding and plans to recognise sites nationwide before expanding across Europe.
“Merityre are one of the most progressive retail networks… The team continues to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to sustainability, customer care and employee development,” said Gresia Cabrera, Business Development Manager at Bridgestone UK.

Merityre Southfields reports a set of practical actions aligned to the Bridgestone e-CENTRE standard and future ESG needs identified with EY.
Highlights include:
“We’ve worked hard to embed a sustainable way of thinking into everything we do… This accreditation shows how far we’ve come and encourages us to keep pushing forward,” said Dene Arnold, Director at Merityre.
The Bridgestone e-CENTRE programme was created in collaboration with Ernst & Young and evaluates retailers across environmental, social, customer and operational domains. UK pilots point to wider European scale-up, with a goal to accredit around 150 sites and more than £1 million invested to date.
The initiative aligns with Bridgestone’s global E8 Commitment, which frames priorities across Energy, Ecology, Efficiency, Extension, Economy, Emotion, Ease and Empowerment. https://emea.bebridgestone.com/what-we-do/our-sustainability-commitments
Oliver Waters, Co-founder & CPO at TrackZero, added: “Merityre Southfields is making impressive progress in embedding environmental best practices into everyday operations.”
