Point S Europe has launched its new 4 Seasons 3 all-season tyre alongside a dedicated 4 Seasons Van+ range, covering more than 50 sizes across passenger cars, SUVs and light commercial vehicles. The new generation also broadens the passenger range compared with 4 Seasons 2, with 39 UK-listed sizes and Point S’s EV compatibility marking now applied across every fitment.
The Point S 4 Seasons 3 replaces the 4 Seasons 2 for passenger cars, sports cars and SUVs, while the new 4 Seasons Van+ succeeds the previous van all-season product for vans, commercial vehicles and caravans.
Point S says the two ranges were developed in Germany and manufactured in Europe in collaboration with a leading premium tyre manufacturer. The group has not named the producer. German trade publication Reifenpresse, however, reports that DOT markings on the new tyres indicate Continental production. That identification has not been publicly confirmed by Point S or Continental.
Across the complete launch, Point S is offering more than 50 sizes, including 12 commercial-vehicle fitments, with increased coverage in 17, 18 and 19-inch diameters.
The UK range provides a clearer picture of how the new generation differs from the 4 Seasons 2.
Point S UK lists 39 4 Seasons 3 sizes from 14 to 19 inches. That includes nine 17-inch fitments, five 18-inch options and a 235/55 R19 105W XL size, alongside a wider spread of XL applications for passenger cars, crossovers and SUVs.
By comparison, Point S UK’s August 2025 fitment document for the 4 Seasons 2 ran from 13 to 18 inches and was concentrated in smaller diameters. It listed only two 17-inch entries and one 18-inch fitment. The comparison supports Point S’s claim that the new generation provides broader coverage of medium and larger wheel sizes.
EV positioning has also been extended. Point S says compatibility was available only on selected 4 Seasons 2 fitments, whereas all 39 UK-listed sizes of the 4 Seasons 3 now carry its EV symbol. The company links the specification to load capacity, rolling resistance, noise and wear requirements associated with electric vehicles.
The designation should be understood as Point S’s own EV compatibility marking rather than a separate industry-wide regulatory certification.
Point S also attributes improved wet braking over the 4 Seasons 2 to an updated tread compound, while revised siping geometry is said to improve traction in snow and slush. The 4 Seasons 3 uses a V-shaped tread pattern, dense siping and grooves designed to evacuate water and slush from the contact area. These are manufacturer performance claims, although Point S has supplemented them with commissioned third-party testing.
Point S International commissioned TÜV SÜD Product Service to test the 205/55 R16 94V XL version of the 4 Seasons 3 during February and March 2026.
The programme, report number 713389589-AS1, compared the tyre against three unnamed mid-range products and three unnamed budget tyres using a Volkswagen Golf VIII and Audi A3. Tests covered areas including wet braking, wet lateral grip, aquaplaning and snow performance.
Point S says that in wet braking from 80km/h, the mid-range tyres travelled an average 2.66 metres further before stopping, while the budget group travelled 3.3 metres further. In snow braking from 40km/h, the differences were 0.4 metres and 1.7 metres respectively.
The results give the launch more evidence than a conventional product specification, but their scope is important. The tests were commissioned by Point S, covered one 4 Seasons 3 size and used unnamed comparator groups. They therefore provide supporting evidence for the tested specification rather than establishing the performance of every size in the new range against the wider market.
Both the passenger and van ranges carry the 3PMSF marking. Taken together, the broader fitment spread, dedicated Van+ product and extension of Point S’s EV marking across the complete passenger range make the launch a more substantial renewal of the network’s own-brand all-season portfolio than a straightforward replacement of the 4 Seasons 2.
