Michelin will use Road Transport Expo 2026 to present its latest truck tyre technology and AI-enabled fleet management tools to UK operators. The company will show the MICHELIN X Multi D2 in 295/80 R22.5 for the first time at the UK event, alongside retread and worksite-focused products.
The MICHELIN X Multi D2 295/80 R22.5 will make its UK show debut on stand G54 at RTX, ahead of a planned market launch in September. Michelin says the new-generation drive axle tyre delivers up to 15% more mileage than its predecessor.
The company attributes the gain to MICHELIN REGENION technology and an updated rubber compound. It also claims rolling resistance is up to 7% lower than the first-generation product, which may support fuel savings for tractor-unit operators.

The launch comes as tyre manufacturers use RTX to target fleet buyers with products linked to uptime, casing value and lower operating costs, while Michelin fleet fitments have also featured in recent coverage of HD Ricketts Cuts Tyre Risk with Michelin X Works Guarantee.
Michelin will also show the MICHELIN X Multi Energy Remix 295/80 R22.5. The retread is produced at Michelin’s Stoke-on-Trent facility under its local-to-local model for the UK and Ireland.
The company says this approach supports skilled UK jobs and reduces the environmental impact linked to exporting casings or finished retreads. Michelin’s four lives model sees tyres used, regrooved, retreaded and regrooved again to extend service life and improve total cost of ownership.
Completing the stand line-up will be the MICHELIN X Works D2, developed for vehicles working in and around construction sites and other demanding operating environments.
Michelin will also use RTX to explain how MICHELIN Connected Fleet is applying artificial intelligence across fleet operations. The company says the focus is on faster access to operational data, improved safety and more efficient tyre management.
The systems on show will include MICHELIN AI Assistant, AI Cameras and MICHELIN Automated Inspection. Michelin says these tools can support proactive risk detection, driver coaching, wear monitoring, low-pressure alerts and compliance checks.

Sophie Foucque, CEO of MICHELIN Connected Fleet for Europe, Africa and Australia, said customers should not be afraid of their data. She said fleets need “a simple, transparent way” to access vehicle information so they can understand problems, improve efficiency and reduce costs.
For tyre dealers, service providers and fleet managers, the story sits at the meeting point between tyre performance and data-led maintenance. Longer-wearing truck tyres remain central to cost control, but fleet decisions are increasingly shaped by telematics, inspection automation and compliance evidence.
