Oak Tyres, founded in 1980 as a single family-run tyre shop in northern England, is celebrating its 45th birthday on 1 August 2025. The business has grown into a global wholesaler with seven UK warehouses, including a new site in Warrington, giving it about 700,000 sq ft of storage and space for roughly 900,000 tyres across premium, mid-range, and budget categories.

The company is the exclusive UK distributor for Landsail, Delinte, Aptany, Evergreen, and Linglong, and it has also developed two in-house lines: Davanti, aimed at the mid-range market, and Envoy, a value option launched this year. Both ranges are designed through a structured research and testing programme at modern production facilities.

Oak’s offering now extends to specialist tyres and fitting consumables such as valves, wheel weights, and mounting paste, giving independent garages a one-stop supply channel. In 2024 it overhauled its digital ordering system, combining the Oak8 platform with the new Oak Portal. The portal links to the Oak Partnership site, letting dealers place tyre and non-tyre orders, access point-of-sale materials, and collect rewards. Key upgrades include faster SmartSearch filtering, expanded product data, and clearer account and financial tools.

Commercial Director Peter Cross credits consistent customer service, investment in people, and the ability to adapt to market shifts for the company’s long-term success. He thanks employees, suppliers, and loyal customers who have supported the brand since 1980.
