Ben Sets Dates And Targets For Race Across Britain 2026.

Ben has confirmed the second Race Across Britain, a three-day challenge set for February 2026 across the UK. Teams of two will travel using public transport, walking and cycling, with no planes, smartphones or pre-planning. Checkpoints remain secret. The event follows the 2024 debut, which raised £100,000. The format tests adaptability, teamwork and problem-solving, while raising funds for automotive people who are struggling or in crisis. Entry details are now available for teams planning to take part.

  • Dates: February 2026, exact days to be confirmed
  • Teams: Pairs from across the automotive sector
  • Rules: No smartphones, no planes, no pre-planning
  • Budget: Limited, with tasks to earn top-ups
  • Purpose: Raise funds for Ben’s support services

What Race Across Britain Involves

Race Across Britain is inspired by BBC’s Race Across the World. The 2026 edition keeps the same rules and tempo. A limited budget covers essentials. No route is set in advance. Speed alone will not win it. Ingenuity matters more. Teams can complete on-the-spot tasks to top up funds while the clock keeps running.

“We can’t wait to race again next year. As Race Across Britain revs up for 2026, our automotive family is called once more to test their mettle, support their colleagues and champion the charity that’s there when they need it most,” said Matt Wigginton, Director of Growth & Development at Ben.

In 2024, Race Across Britain raised £100,000. The 2026 event aims to build on that start. Organisers expect entries from dealers, suppliers, manufacturers and service networks across the UK.

UK automotive employers and staff continue to face wellbeing pressures. Ben supported thousands of people in 2024, and £100,000 was raised by the first race. Race Across Britain gives businesses a visible way to engage staff and raise funds during a quiet trading month. Watch for entry caps, published dates and any regional transport constraints that could shape routes.
