BKT Europe has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Henrik de Koning as Head of OEM Europe & Key Account, as the company continues to pursue its ambitious 2030 growth strategy.
De Koning joins from Apollo Vredestein, where he held a senior position within the agricultural tyre division. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the off-highway tyre industry, with deep expertise spanning agricultural and OTR (off-the-road) segments, as well as a track record of senior commercial roles at major industry players.
In his new position, de Koning will take responsibility for driving BKT's growth within the Original Equipment (OE) channel across Europe, with a particular focus on agricultural and OTR applications. He will report directly to Lucia Salmaso, Managing Director of BKT Europe.
The appointment reflects BKT's broader push to expand and consolidate its OE partnerships across the European market, drawing on the company's extensive product range, manufacturing capabilities and established distribution network.

The hire follows a series of strategic leadership moves at BKT Europe in recent times, including appointments across its OEM Industrial & OTR and agriculture divisions, a clear signal of the company's intent to grow its footprint in the OE space as competition within the global tyre sector intensifies.
BKT has positioned the appointment as a key milestone in its long-term plan, centred on innovation, product quality and a sharper focus on customer partnerships in key global markets.
