BKT Tires Names Manish Maharaj Head of Business Finance.

Manish Maharaj, a veteran tyre industry executive, has joined Balkrishna Industries Ltd (BKT Tires) as General Manager and Head of Business Finance, bringing over a decade of senior leadership experience from Apollo Tyres Ltd.

In his new role, Maharaj will concentrate on enhancing financial strategy, driving performance-led growth, and developing scalable systems to support BKT's global expansion plans.

"I am thrilled to begin a new chapter with BKT Tires," Maharaj said upon his appointment.

Extensive experience across multiple markets

Maharaj's 11-year career at Apollo Tyres saw him hold several strategic positions within one of the world's leading tyre manufacturers. Most recently, he served as Regional Chief Financial Officer for South East Asia, the Middle East and Africa, before taking on the role of Business Head for South East Asia.

In these capacities, he led multi-market commercial and financial operations, delivering strong business performance across diverse cultural and economic landscapes.

Strategic growth leadership

During his tenure at Apollo, Maharaj was instrumental in charting growth strategies across fast-evolving markets, strengthening distributor partnerships, and reinforcing brand positioning throughout key ASEAN economies.

His leadership coincided with initiatives aimed at expanding Apollo's premium brand presence in Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and South Korea, whilst fostering deeper retail engagement across the broader ASEAN region.

The appointment marks a significant addition to BKT's leadership team as the off-highway tyre specialist continues to strengthen its position in global markets.
