V03 track-only slick targets faster laps with redesigned profiles.

Bridgestone Corporation has announced the launch of its latest track-only motorcycle tyre, the RACING BATTLAX V03, which will arrive in European and North American markets in 2026. The new tyre represents a significant evolution in Bridgestone's racing range, targeting both professional and amateur riders seeking maximum performance on circuit.

Racing-Proven Technology

The RACING BATTLAX V03 incorporates compound technology developed through Bridgestone's continued success in top-tier motorsport competition. The company has supplied winning teams in the FIM Endurance World Championship for five consecutive years, and this racing pedigree forms the foundation of the new tyre's development.

Bridgestone has completely redesigned the profile for both front and rear tyres, increasing the contact patch to deliver improved grip levels. The rear tyre benefits from advanced manufacturing processes that achieve what Bridgestone describes as an optimal profile, contributing to significant improvements in lap times.

Performance Gains

According to Bridgestone's testing data, the RACING BATTLAX V03 in SOFT compound specification delivers a 1.3 per cent reduction in lap times compared to its predecessor, the RACING BATTLAX V02. The company emphasises that this performance improvement maintains Bridgestone's characteristic high grip levels even after extended sessions.

Introduction of Sprint Specification

A key innovation for the V03 range is the introduction of Bridgestone's first rear 'SPRINT spec' tyre. This variant prioritises peak grip performance through specialised compound design, achieving a 1.9 per cent lap time reduction compared to the V02 SOFT compound.

The SPRINT specification expands Bridgestone's offering, allowing riders to select tyres according to race format and track conditions. This option will particularly appeal to competitors in sprint race events where maximum grip over shorter distances takes priority.

Development Philosophy

Bridgestone positions its motorsport activities as a 'mobile laboratory' under its 'challenge for excellence' approach. The company transfers technologies developed in racing environments into its commercial tyre products, with the RACING BATTLAX V03 serving as the flagship model representing this philosophy.

The new tyre forms part of Bridgestone's broader commitment to supporting motorcycling culture through its premium BATTLAX brand, aligning with the company's 'Bridgestone E8 Commitment' corporate strategy.

The RACING BATTLAX V03 will be available in multiple compound options to suit varying track conditions and rider preferences when it launches next year.
