Continental will use Hillhead 2026 to present its earthmoving tyre range for quarrying, construction and mining operators. The company will display products including the LD-Master Rock L5 and MPT 91 at the three-day event, which takes place from 23–25 June 2026 at Hillhead Quarry near Buxton.
Hillhead remains one of the UK’s key trade shows for quarrying, construction and recycling equipment. Its working quarry setting gives tyre manufacturers a direct route to operators who face high loads, abrasive ground conditions and downtime pressure. The official event site says the 2026 show will feature more than 600 exhibitors and thousands of products across three days.
For Continental, the event provides a platform to show both tyre hardware and connected service tools. The company’s Hillhead exhibitor listing highlights the new LD-Master Rock L5 and next-generation MPT 91, alongside the Conti CrossTrac range for mixed on- and off-road use.
The LD-Master Rock L5 is aimed at loader applications in quarry and mining conditions. Continental says the tyre is designed for extreme load tasks and harsh rock environments, where casing strength, tread depth and sidewall protection are important to vehicle availability.

The MPT91 adds a broader multi-purpose option for specialist off-road vehicles. Continental positions the tyre for applications including military, forestry, construction, recovery and adventure vehicles. The tyre features a higher load index, increased puncture resistance and an updated tread compound, according to the company material.

The wider display will also include the EM-Master E4/L4 for articulated dump trucks, loaders and dozers; LD-Master Traction for heavy loaders; and DumperMaster E4/L4 for articulated dump trucks, mine trucks and heavy loaders.
A notable part of Continental’s message is tyre monitoring. The company says integrated tyre sensors support continuous temperature and pressure monitoring, helping operators manage performance and extend service life.
That angle fits a wider commercial tyre trend. Tyre News recently reported on Continental’s digital tyre safety white paper, which argued that fleets must connect tyre data with service planning, inspection routines and maintenance decisions.
The Hillhead focus also follows recent changes in Continental’s UK commercial tyre structure. Tyre News previously covered Continental’s strengthened commercial division leadership, including Rebecca Shedden’s broader role across truck and specialty tyre operations.
Rebecca Shedden, General Sales Manager Commercial Tyres, said Hillhead’s live demonstrations make it a useful setting for technical discussions. She said the show allows Continental to speak with operators about durability, downtime reduction and long-term tyre value in quarry and construction work.
Tom Godwin, Sales Manager for Earth Mover, MPT and Military tyres, said Hillhead 2026 will be his first appearance at the event in his new UK and Ireland role. He said the latest additions, including the L5 Rock pattern and MPT 91, reflect Continental’s focus on durability and reliability across demanding applications.
Mike Leedham, Sales Manager OTR, said the show gives customers the opportunity to see Continental’s current and new products at close range.
Ian Jackson, Technical Customer Service Manager, said the company’s upgraded digital solutions cover pressure monitoring, temperature indication, alerts, maintenance planning and tread-wear-rate analysis.
OTR tyres remain a high-value operating cost for quarry and construction fleets. Failures can disrupt equipment availability and create safety risks in environments where machines work under high loads and repeated impact.
Continental’s Hillhead presence is therefore most relevant where tyre supply, monitoring and technical support are considered together. For tyre dealers and service providers, the story points to a market where product performance is increasingly linked with data, maintenance planning and on-site advice.
