Davanti Tyres is placing renewed focus on its Protoura performance tyre family ahead of the summer driving season, with the range spanning ultra-high-performance road use, runflat capability and track-day applications. The move gives dealers a seasonal talking point as motorists consider handling, safety and value across performance fitments.

A range built around road and track use

The Protoura line-up is centred on three products: Protoura Sport, Protoura Sport DSP Runflat and Protoura Race. Davanti says the range reflects continued development work on circuit, alongside wider demand from drivers seeking everyday usability with more dynamic performance.

Protoura Sport sits as the brand’s ultra-high-performance summer tyre. It is designed for drivers who want responsive handling, grip and comfort without moving into a specialist competition tyre. Davanti says the tyre has been developed to balance sporty road characteristics with daily use.

The Protoura Sport DSP Runflat adds puncture mobility to the same performance-focused brief. For retailers, that gives the range a second selling point where drivers want reassurance after pressure loss, particularly on vehicles where runflat fitment remains expected.

Track-day relevance

At the top of the range is Protoura Race, Davanti’s track-day product. The company describes it as its first tyre aimed specifically at motorsport-style use. The tyre has been developed through circuit running, with Davanti continuing to expand fitments as it builds its presence in performance and motorsport applications.

That motorsport link has already appeared in recent Tyre News coverage. Tyre News previously reported on Davanti’s extended AIA Racing School partnership, where Protoura Sport tyres continued to be supplied to the school’s fleet at Algarve International Circuit.  And Davanti’s Race of Remembrance partnership with Mission Motorsport, where Protoura Race gained visibility in a 12-hour endurance format at Anglesey Circuit.

Why it matters for tyre dealers

The seasonal timing matters because the UHP category remains highly competitive. Premium and mid-market brands are using motorsport, track-day activity and independent testing to sharpen their performance credentials. Tyre News recently reported on Goodyear’s global Eagle performance push, which shows how major manufacturers are also putting UHP ranges back into sharper consumer focus.

For tyre retailers, Davanti’s Protoura activity offers a clear good-better-specialist structure. Protoura Sport targets everyday performance users, Protoura Sport DSP Runflat addresses reassurance and mobility, while Protoura Race gives the brand a track-day option for enthusiast customers.

Davanti has also been using trade events to broaden visibility for the range. Tyre News reported that the brand’s largest Tire Cologne stand to date would include Protoura Race alongside passenger, light commercial, off-road, performance and winter products.
