Industry veteran Jason Heales brings four decades of aftermarket experience to Heath Farm site as depot embarks on recruitment drive
ETB Autocentres' Wythall depot is preparing for a period of sustained growth following the appointment of an experienced centre manager and the creation of three new positions.
Jason Heales, who brings 40 years of aftermarket experience to the Heath Farm site, has joined with a clear remit to transform the centre's fortunes and unlock its full potential. To support his plans, he is now recruiting for a master technician, MOT tester and tyre fitter as he assembles a new team focused on delivering the highest levels of service.
An industry stalwart with a proven track record across multiple depots, Jason began his career four decades ago on a Youth Training Scheme before progressing to roles as a mobile fitter with ATS, running his own tyre-fitting business at Portbury Docks in Bristol, and managing centres for major national brands including Kwik Fit, Halfords and Malvern Tyres.
Since joining ETB in 2022, Jason made an immediate impact at the company's Lydney depot, where his hands-on management style and focus on customer care helped drive strong results.
Reflecting on the challenge ahead, Jason said: "There's no secret formula for success, but simply a case of doing the basics right and building trust with each and every customer. Behind every successful garage is a motivated team who feel valued and appreciated, and who take pride in going the extra mile for customers.
"Communication and transparency are also vital. Customers should always know what's happening with their vehicle and feel that they're being looked after. That's what creates lasting relationships."
He added: "ETB Wythall is a well-known name in the community, and there's a lot of repeat business here from people who've been coming for years. That tells me there's a real foundation to build on. With the right culture and team in place, there's every reason to believe this depot can thrive."
Looking at the broader industry landscape, Jason acknowledged the significant changes that have taken place throughout his career: "The industry has changed massively over the years, especially with diagnostics, EV technology and sustainability. But some things will always stay the same – great customer service and a team that truly cares."
