Hankook will return as official sponsor of the Ballon d’Or in 2025, supporting the ceremony at the Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris, on 22 September. It marks the tyre maker’s second consecutive year backing football’s most prominent individual awards, following its debut as sponsor in 2024.

The event is organised in partnership with UEFA and Groupe Amaury’s France Football and L’Équipe.

Hankook Ballon d’Or sponsorship deepens the brand’s European football footprint and offers city-level visibility around a blue-chip sports property. The date and venue confirm a high-profile, Paris-based platform during the autumn news cycle, when attention to elite football is already elevated.

What’s confirmed for 22 September

  • Ceremony location: Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris.
  • Edition: 69th Ballon d’Or.
  • Official sponsor: Hankook for a second straight year.

How it fits Hankook’s wider sports portfolio

Hankook Ballon d’Or activity sits alongside multi-season partnerships with UEFA’s Europa League and Conference League, plus recent motorsport commitments. In May 2024, UEFA confirmed Hankook’s renewal through 2026/27, ensuring pan-European exposure across club competitions. In 2025, Hankook also became exclusive tyre supplier across all FIA World Rally Championship classes.

Hankook’s fan engagement credentials were highlighted when the company retained Formula E “Best Fan Experience” in Season 11 — evidence of sustained event activation capability. See Tyre News: Hankook retains Formula E ‘Best Fan Experience’ title.

“We are proud to continue our partnership as sponsors of the Ballon d’Or, one of the most prestigious awards in global sport. The Ballon d’Or has shaped football history and holds international appeal far beyond the sporting world. Our partnership underlines our shared commitment to innovation and peak performance, values that we have in common with international football.“ - Jongho Park, President and COO, Hankook Tire Europe.
