Jet Wheel Tyre has opened a dedicated MOT, servicing, and mechanical repairs centre alongside its existing Benfleet tyre depot. The expansion moves the Essex-based business beyond tyre retail into a complete vehicle maintenance offering. The new site, previously Elmsleigh Invacar, has been fully refurbished with modern MOT testing equipment, two-post lifts, and upgraded customer facilities.
The move is part of a wider industry trend, with tyre specialists adding MOT and mechanical services to meet customer demand.
“We’ve built strong trust with customers over the years through our tyre services, and now we can meet their MOT, servicing, and mechanical needs all at one site,” said Martin Crane, Director at Jet Wheel Tyre.
Established in 1990, the family-run business now operates four locations across Essex. Its Benfleet expansion comes after over a year of operating the newly acquired site before rebranding under the Jet Wheel Tyre name.
As a founding member of the Point S UK network, Jet Wheel Tyre benefits from fleet opportunities, training programmes and peer collaboration.
“Jet Wheel Tyre is a perfect case of how Point S members are more than just tyre dealers,” commented Ali Yilmaz, Managing Director at Point S UK. “Our network supports members with fleet opportunities, training, and peer support helping independents grow into fully rounded auto centres.”
Martin Crane said the affiliation was vital in their transition: “The network’s been invaluable, not just for tyres and supply chain improvements, but for learning from other members as we move into the mechanical side of things. The support system makes a real difference.”
