Transense Technologies plc, through its Translogik division, has signed a significant three-year contract with Logistics UK to digitise vehicle inspections. Logistics UK, one of the largest business groups in the UK transport sector with over 21,000 members, conducts more than 50,000 vehicle inspections annually across fleets operating on road, air, rail, and water.

The partnership introduces a bespoke tyre condition monitoring service through Translogik’s TLGX tyre inspection tools and TIRETASK software. This solution integrates seamlessly with Vision, Logistics UK's compliance and certification platform, and will be deployed by a network of more than 65 vehicle inspection experts nationwide.

Enhanced Efficiency and Environmental Benefits

The new digital inspection system combines advanced data collection using mobile tablet computers, a customised TIRETASK inspection app, cloud-based data storage, and Translogik’s tyre inspection tools. The system is designed to improve data capture, increase operational efficiency, and reduce the administrative burden on engineers by automating report generation.

Chris Lipscomb, Operations Director at Logistics UK, highlighted the impact of the partnership:

"Translogik’s TLGX tools and TIRETASK software will revolutionise our inspection process, offering enhanced efficiency and unparalleled data quality and insight for our members. Correct tyre management will bring significant benefits, from improved fuel consumption and tyre longevity to reducing breakdowns and maintenance downtime. This rollout sets a new benchmark for value-added content to vehicle inspections."

Driving Digital Transformation in Fleet Management

Ryan Maughan, Managing Director at Transense Technologies, added:

"Our contract with Logistics UK represents a significant achievement for Transense and demonstrates the value our solutions bring to the fleet and logistics sectors. The partnership underscores the importance of digital transformation in vehicle compliance and inspection services, and we are proud to support Logistics UK’s mission to deliver industry-leading services to their members."

The project is the result of Transense’s collaboration with TIRETASK GmbH, whose fleet management software underpins the TLGX solution. The customised platform demonstrates the strength and adaptability of their technology, driving digital transformation in the commercial vehicle fleet industry.
