NEXEN TIRE is strengthening its relationship with KIA Motors through the expansion of its original equipment (OE) tyre supply for two of KIA’s major global models – the EV6 and the Tasman – marking a strategic milestone in its role within the electrification and SUV mobility segments.
The premium comfort tyre N’FERA Supreme S will now be equipped on KIA EV6 models produced at KIA’s U.S. facility in Georgia. This builds on NEXEN TIRE’s existing OE fitments for EV6 vehicles in Korea and other international markets since 2021.
Engineered for electric vehicles, the N’FERA Supreme S focuses on low rolling resistance, quiet performance, and ride stability. The tyre is already in use on KIA’s EV3 and EV4 models, reinforcing NEXEN TIRE’s commitment to advanced EV mobility.
NEXEN TIRE is also expanding the OE fitment of its ROADIAN HTX2 tyre to the KIA Tasman – a pickup targeted at multiple international markets. Previously supplied for Tasman models exported to Latin America, the tyre will now be fitted to vehicles sold in Korea, the Middle East, Europe, and other global regions.
The ROADIAN HTX2 is designed to meet the dual demands of on-road comfort and off-road durability for SUVs and light trucks, making it well-suited to the varied use cases of the KIA Tasman.
Since entering the OE market for premium automotive brands in 2016, NEXEN TIRE has continued to scale its global supply footprint across a range of next-generation vehicles, including battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).
According to CEO John Bosco (Hyeon Suk) Kim, “This expanded OE supply reflects the deepening of our strategic partnership with KIA and reinforces our position in key global markets, including North America.” He added that the company will continue strengthening its collaborations with global automakers in support of innovation across new mobility platforms.
