Nexen Tire has announced the opening of its second customised flagship store in Italy, partnering with established retailer Italgomme to strengthen its presence in the southern Italian market.
The new location, trading as "Dal Gommista" in Bari, follows the inauguration of the brand's first Italian flagship store with Tonin Gianfranco approximately one year ago. The Bari site represents Nexen's first flagship store in southern Italy and forms part of a wider pan-European initiative launched in 2024.
The store, situated on a high-traffic road in the Bari area, has undergone a complete transformation featuring Nexen's corporate branding both internally and externally. The customisation project integrates the manufacturer's logos, colours and design elements throughout the retail space.
Italgomme, which operates stores in both Foggia and Bari, was selected as a strategic partner due to its established presence in the region and the location's high visibility to potential customers. The company's solid reputation in the territory and access to a large consumer base made it an ideal candidate for the flagship store concept.
The store renovation was celebrated with an opening event on 1st October, attended by local partners, operators and a representative from Nexen Tire.
Taeho Kim, Managing Director of Nexen Tire's Italian branch, emphasised the importance of the project: "The customisation of strategic points of sale, especially in the form of the flagship store, is of crucial importance for the further presence of Nexen Tire on the Italian territory and it is a project on which the company is focusing a lot. Italgomme is a strategic partner and well represents the consolidation of the growth of Nexen Tire and has become a reference for the corporate image in the territory."
Store owner Adriana Parrella welcomed the partnership, stating: "We are happy with this customisation and to be among the first to represent the Nexen brand within a complete store identification project. Nexen Tire is a strategic partner for us that allows us to offer quality products, together with our service and our experience. When you play together you are stronger and in an increasingly competitive market like the current one, having reliable partners becomes essential."
The flagship store initiative forms part of Nexen's "Nexen Point" network programme, which aims to strengthen brand presence at key retailers across Europe. The strategy focuses on enhancing visibility at the point of sale where end-user purchasing decisions are made.
According to the company, the project represents an evolving path towards growing Nexen's presence in Italy and across Europe, with further initiatives planned to expand brand awareness among consumers and increase visibility at retail locations.
The partnership approach emphasises what Nexen describes as "accessible quality" – positioning the brand as offering competitive products whilst maintaining high standards. Through differentiated marketing and strategic partnerships, the manufacturer is pursuing sustainable growth throughout the European market with enhanced brand awareness at the retail level.
