Oak Group Adds Newport Site as Eighth UK Tyre Warehouse.

UK-based independent tyre wholesaler Oak Group Holdings has announced plans to expand into Wales, following the acquisition of a 155,150 square-foot storage and distribution facility in Newport.

The new site will become the company's eighth warehouse and its first in Wales, with operations set to begin in summer 2026. Capable of storing over 250,000 tyres and supported by a comprehensive fleet of heavy goods vehicles, the facility is designed to significantly strengthen distribution across the region.

The Newport warehouse follows the recent opening of Oak Group Holdings' Warrington site and continues the company's trajectory of steady UK-wide growth. According to the company, the new facility will maintain the prompt delivery times and high standards of customer service for which Oak is well known, whilst also broadening access to its product range.

The site is well positioned for logistics, with direct access to both the M4 and M5 motorways, an advantage that Peter Cross, Oak Group Holdings' Commercial Director, was keen to highlight.

"Oak Group Holdings is delighted to add this new distribution facility to our network," said Cross. "The site is exceptionally well located, with excellent access to the M4 and M5. We look forward to bringing the facility online in the near future, where it will play a key role in enhancing the availability of our brand portfolio and strengthening our service capabilities across the UK."

Recruitment for the Newport site is already under way ahead of the summer 2026 launch. For further information, visit www.oaktyres.co.uk
