Trelleborg Tires has announced a significant extension to its TM800 ProgressiveTraction® range, setting a new standard in agricultural tyre performance. Initially available in two sizes, 540/65R28 and 650/65R38, the company plans to roll out four additional sizes in the coming weeks. The range caters to mid- to high-horsepower tractors, delivering innovative solutions tailored to modern farming needs.
Building on the iconic TM800 tyre line, Trelleborg’s proprietary ProgressiveTraction® technology is the cornerstone of this latest offering. The design significantly enhances traction, delivering up to 17% more grip on soft soils and a 10% improvement on hard soils compared to competitor tyres. This ensures efficient operations across varying terrains, reducing working hours per hectare and fuel consumption.
The advanced tread design features optimised lug shapes and angles, improving stability and comfort. In testing, it demonstrated a 3% advantage in driver comfort over leading competitor tyres, making long hours in the field safer and less taxing.
The TM800 ProgressiveTraction® incorporates a unique tread pattern and premium materials, offering 18% better wear resistance than competitor products. This durability extends the tyre's lifecycle, reducing the frequency of replacements and minimising operational costs. Additionally, a reinforced carcass provides exceptional handling and performance, even at high speeds.
Alessio Bucci, Global Product Marketing Director for Trelleborg Tires, remarked:
“The TM800 ProgressiveTraction® exemplifies our commitment to innovation and customer-driven solutions. By integrating our award-winning ProgressiveTraction® technology into one of our most iconic tyre lines, we are providing farmers with a tyre that redefines efficiency, comfort, and durability in the field.”
Bucci added that the tyre’s ability to enhance fuel economy and reduce downtime supports sustainable and productive farming, meeting the evolving demands of modern agriculture.
With this extension, Trelleborg continues to reinforce its commitment to sustainable farming. The TM800 ProgressiveTraction® range empowers farmers with tools to optimise efficiency, protect investments, and reduce environmental impact.
