Yokohama has highlighted the role of its ADVAN A052 tyre in the opening round of the 2026 Racing Hondas Championship at Silverstone, where TV personality and former motorcycle racer Guy Martin took part across two races.
The event took place on Sunday 5 April, with Martin finishing 12th in Race 1 and 15th in Race 2. He drove a Takata-liveried S2000R run by Tegiwa, while team-mate Luke Sedzikowski competed in an ADVAN-liveried car.
Yokohama supplies its road-legal, track-focused ADVAN A052 tyre for all classes in Racing Hondas and for the Club classes of Time Attack. The Pro classes in Time Attack use slick and wet racing tyres.
According to Yokohama, Martin had previously commented after testing at Oulton Park that the car offered “huge amounts of grip”.
Racing Hondas features a range of Honda performance models competing in a tightly controlled club-level championship. Alongside Silverstone, the calendar includes circuits such as Brands Hatch, Snetterton and Oulton Park.
Yokohama said the ADVAN A052 is designed for track-focused road cars, combining grip and handling with road legality. The tyre is available in sizes from 13in to 20in and features an asymmetric tread pattern and sport compound intended to support cornering performance, heat dissipation, straight-line stability and wet-weather resistance.
For the performance and enthusiast market, the update underlines Yokohama’s continued visibility in UK club motorsport and track-day competition.
