Yokohama has introduced the BluEarth-AllSeason2 for Europe, adding a new all-season tyre aimed at passenger cars, SUVs and battery electric vehicles. Unveiled in Iceland to customers and journalists, the tyre forms part of Yokohama Europe’s more localised product approach as demand grows for year-round replacement options.

A wider push into all-season tyres

The BluEarth-AllSeason2 arrives as tyre manufacturers place greater emphasis on all-season products for European replacement channels. For dealers and wholesalers, the segment offers a practical answer to drivers facing less predictable weather and fewer seasonal tyre changes.

Tyre News has recently covered several moves in this space, including Apollo Tyres’ next-generation Vredestein Quatrac Pro 2 all-season tyre and Bridgestone’s Duravis Camper All Season for motorhomes. Those launches point to wider manufacturer interest in all-season fitments across passenger, leisure and electrified vehicle applications.

Designed for European conditions

Yokohama says the BluEarth-AllSeason2 has been engineered to improve dry and wet performance while retaining strong winter capability. The company points to its COLD TECH technology, a silica-rich compound and a symmetrical V-shaped tread pattern as key parts of the tyre’s performance package.

The tread design is intended to support water evacuation and reduce the risk of aquaplaning. Yokohama also says an optimised 3D sipe arrangement improves edge effect while limiting tread block deformation during acceleration, cornering and braking.

At the design stage, Yokohama used its HAICoLab technology, which combines human expertise with artificial intelligence modelling. According to the company, this helped optimise the contact patch and increased the contact area by five per cent compared with the previous generation.

Europe becomes a stronger focus

The launch also sits within Yokohama Europe’s broader portfolio development. The company said BluEarth-AllSeason2 follows recent European-focused introductions including ADVAN Sport V107, ADVAN Sport EV and ADVAN Winter.

Gregorio Borgo, President of Yokohama Europe and Managing Officer of Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., said European drivers increasingly expect one tyre to handle a wide range of conditions. He said BluEarth-AllSeason2 was developed to combine safety, performance and everyday usability in a dynamic segment.

Takashi Maki, CEO of Yokohama Europe, added that the tyre demonstrates Yokohama Rubber’s commitment to growth in Europe. His comments follow his recent appointment, covered by Tyre News in Yokohama Europe Promotes Takashi Maki to CEO.

What it means for tyre retailers

For retailers, the 74-size range gives Yokohama a broader entry into one of Europe’s most active passenger tyre categories. The inclusion of SUV and BEV applications is also significant, as replacement demand increasingly reflects heavier vehicles, higher torque and year-round usage expectations.

The commercial test will now be how the range performs against established all-season competitors in independent testing, retail availability and consumer pricing. Tyre News has also reported on the role of independent recognition in the category, including the DriverReviews 2026/27 Customer Choice Award results, where all-season tyre performance featured prominently.
