Aeolus Moves Giant OTR Tyre Expansion Forward

Aeolus Tyre is moving ahead with its project to add annual capacity for 20,000 giant off-the-road tyres after completing the share issue that will help fund the expansion.

The company expects initial construction to be completed in the second half of 2026 and has set May 2027 as the target for the project to be ready for use. Output will build gradually as the new capacity comes on stream, according to its 2026 half-year filing.

The update marks a step forward from TNM’s August 2025 report, when Aeolus’s proposed share issue was still awaiting regulatory clearance.

The company received the proceeds in February 2026. By 30 June, it had invested RMB288.55 million of those proceeds in the giant tyre project, equal to 26.36% of the proceeds allocated to it. This is a funding-use figure, rather than a measure of physical construction progress.

Aeolus has also produced its first 60/80R57 giant radial tyre, which came off the line on 27 April. Developed for 50-tonne loaders, the tyre adds a new size to the company’s giant OTR range as work continues on the manufacturing expansion. Aeolus says a 45/65R45 loader tyre planned for the project had previously come off the line.
