Shandong Linglong Tyre expects net profit attributable to shareholders to fall by 94.09%–94.69% for January–September 2026, as foreign-exchange losses compound higher costs, overseas pricing pressure and weaker domestic original equipment demand.

Linglong forecasts attributable net profit of RMB62m–69m for the first nine months of 2026. Excluding non-recurring items, it expects an attributable net loss of RMB113m–134m, according to its company announcement, dated 14 October.

Currency movements were a substantial contributor. Linglong reported an approximately RMB437m foreign-exchange loss, compared with a RMB622m gain a year earlier. The company puts the resulting year-on-year reduction in total profit at approximately RMB1.059bn. That figure relates to total profit, rather than an equivalent reduction in after-tax profit attributable to shareholders.

Operating pressures also weighed on earnings. Linglong said raw-material increases outpaced selling-price adjustments, while trade barriers intensified overseas competition and pricing pressure. Middle East disruption increased shipping costs. Weaker domestic passenger-car original equipment demand reduced its OE volumes, leaving less production over which to spread fixed costs.

The warning therefore reflects both currency exposure and pressure on manufacturing margins. The forecast loss excluding non-recurring items is also distinct from the positive attributable net profit headline. linglong.cn

In its separately published first-half results, Linglong reported January–June revenue of RMB12.733bn, up 7.80%, while attributable net profit fell 88.13% to RMB101.44m. Those figures cover six months only. The latest warning does not disclose nine-month revenue. linglong.cn

The nine-month estimates are preliminary and unaudited. Final figures will be confirmed in Linglong’s third-quarter report. linglong.cn
