PRINX used The Tire Cologne 2026 to launch its new Xelera truck tyre family, setting out a broader push into the European commercial vehicle market. The range covers long-haul, regional and hybrid applications, with a focus on fuel efficiency, casing durability and live tyre data for fleet operators.
The launch gives PRINX a clearer commercial vehicle offer for European fleets and distributors. The Xelera family includes three lines: Xelera EcoLine for long-haul operations, Xelera EcoRoute for mixed regional and distance work, and Xelera Route for regional road transport.
The company says the range has been developed around the operational pressures facing transport businesses. These include fuel cost control, tyre life, vehicle uptime and better visibility of tyre condition across fleet networks.
Tyre News has previously reported on PRINX Chengshan’s European OTR tyre launch, which signalled the group’s interest in more specialised tyre segments. The Xelera launch now extends that focus into truck and bus radial applications.
A key part of the Xelera offer is XChip Technology, a smart tyre platform designed to provide live data on tyre pressure, temperature, load, mileage and tread depth. For fleets, that could support planned maintenance and help reduce avoidable downtime.
The tyres also use PRINX’s Matrix Technology, based on a five-belt casing structure intended to improve stability, durability and load-carrying performance. InkTech Technology is used in sidewall design and compounding, with PRINX saying it is intended to support wear resistance, fuel efficiency and tyre life.
The development reflects a wider move in the market towards connected tyre monitoring and predictive fleet maintenance. Tyre News recently examined how smart tyre systems are moving closer to commercial use, particularly where operators are focused on uptime and total cost of ownership.
PRINX also held an international conference during the Cologne event, with presentations from company leadership, product management and research and development teams. The sessions focused on the group’s technical capability, global R&D network and plans for the European market.
Leon Li, General Manager Europe and International Sales at PRINX, said The Tire Cologne 2026 had provided “an excellent platform” to meet customers and partners from Europe and beyond. He added that feedback on the new products indicated growing interest in the PRINX brand.
Cristian Tudor, Product Manager Europe, said the Xelera family showed PRINX’s focus on combining innovation, performance and efficiency. He said the company wanted to deliver products that create value for fleets and transport operators.
PRINX also presented the Xelera EcoLine series during a launch event at KölnSKY, where customers, distributors, media representatives and business partners attended. The company used the event to outline its view of next-generation commercial vehicle tyre solutions.
For European tyre distributors, the launch adds another competitive option in the truck tyre market. For fleets, the significance will depend on real-world performance, casing quality, service support and the reliability of the connected data platform.
