The Vredestein tyre brand, owned by Apollo Tyres Ltd, made a significant impact at this year's FIS Alpine World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria. The event, which attracted over 100,000 on-site spectators and reached a 45 million–strong television audience across Germany and Austria, provided an ideal platform for showcasing the Vredestein brand and its premium winter tyre range.

As an Official Main Sponsor, Apollo Tyres utilised prominent Vredestein branding throughout the two-week event, with visibility on screens along the course and at the finish line. The brand also engaged thousands of ski fans through a dedicated Vredestein ‘fan zone’, offering an immersive experience for over 120 VIP customers.

The fan zone featured a three-day hospitality programme, including a ‘Wheel of Fortune’ giveaway and opportunities for guests to meet former professional skiers Thomas Dreßen and Maria Höfl-Riesch during signing sessions.

Harald Kilzer, Head of Cluster South-East Europe at Apollo Tyres Ltd, shared his thoughts on the event's success:

“This year’s FIS Alpine World Championships have been a tremendous success, for competitors and brand affiliates alike. It’s been incredible to witness the world’s best athletes compete across multiple disciplines. High-performance sports events like this align perfectly with our brand and products – most notably our range of premium winter tyres which have been engineered to deliver outstanding performance on the snow and ice.”

The championships saw 250 women and 380 men compete from over 70 countries, further elevating the event's prestige.

Vredestein continues to expand its sports sponsorship portfolio, recently announcing support for the Netherlands-based professional cycling team BEAT Cycling, serving as the official sleeve sponsor of AS Monaco, partnering with Spain’s La Liga, and maintaining an ongoing collaboration with Manchester United.
